This week in 3B we focused on greeting one another and taking turns during discussions. The students have been doing much better waiting until someone else has finished sharing before they share, as well as participating appropriately during our discussions.
We celebrated Aaron's birthday with cupcakes on Tuesday.
In math we have been working with arrays, multiplication, division, adding and subtracting groups, and collecting data for graphs. The students are working hard to master subtraction with regrouping and their multiplication facts in preparation for the upcoming assessment.
We have started reading "Dear Levi" and have had some great discussions about geography and life in the 1800s. The students are excited to read about another adventure and have already shown that they are ready to rise to the challenge of this complex story. We will analyze the story carefully as we proceed and discuss the difficult vocabulary words to help make the story more manageable.

Trying to make each other laugh at the end of the day =)
