This week will be busy as you see on the main site. It will be a time we need to work on our focus so we accomplish the tasks before us.
We will need to master our times tables. After the holidays we will take timed tests routinely, so rapid recall is essential. After the holidays we will also work to master our division facts.
Hopefully, the students will finish two writing projects they have begun, one, a second personal narrative, and the other, a fantasy story. Finished pieces should be on the outside bulleting board when we return from Thanksgiving.
This week the students are reading a book called, If You Sailed on The Mayflower in 1620.
This is a non-fiction book. The students will be required to report on what they learn.
I was very proud of the third graders when we were on our field trip. They were a wonderful group, full of curiosity, cooperation, and courtesy.
They were good classmates to one another, and cleaned up our shelter well.
Remember the book fair this week.
Remember Golden Guest Day.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving holiday.
