We will share the chapel prayer this coming Monday in the gym. Whole school chapel will begin at 8:05. 3B will strengthen our numbers and perhaps we will be braver in delivering the prayer.
Gavin and Anabelle will offer the Scripture reading. Please help your child memorize the short prayer.
We continue to work on our Writer's Guild books. The final drafts are in my hand. The next two weeks we will devote to the illustrations.
We are finishing our math unit on measurement, area, perimeter, circumference, and diameter. The assessment will be after the Easter break. They are enjoying the investigations and have demonstrated a great deal of original thought.
We finished Dear Levi. The class took an assessment today. Results are in their backpacks. Spelling tests were awesome today with only one word missed by only one student. (One letter wrong!)
I would encourage you to come to the Science Museum on Monday afternoon. I will be in Tampa during the presentation, representing Saint Paul's and looking for quality interns to recruit.
A strange thing happened this morning. I was sharing some acapella music with the kids. The CD was by a group called the Persuasions. I shared two songs, one to let the kids hear what a strong bass singer sounds like, the other to let them hear what Doo-Wop music sounds like. The last song I played was an old song called, "Papa Oom Mow Mow." As soon as the music started my class was up in their pajamas and dancing. Seconds later, 3B crossed the hall and joined in. I had to play the song three times! What a sight. Be sure to check the photo-gallery on the front page.
